Algonquin College  in Canada offers distance learning professional Certificates in Business, Environmental Studies, Human Resource Management, Palliative Care, and Regional Museum Management.

Athabasca University  This is a distance learning school based in Canada. They have a very detailed web site that even includes course syllabi.

Auburn University, offers Master's in Engineering and a Master's in Business Administration through video-based learning.

California College Online  accredited distance learning programs give you the freedom to complete your degree while continuing to meet work, family and community commitments.

California State University   offers a Master of Arts in Humanities with e-mail and online support. No campus visits are required.

Chemeketa Online   Sponsored by Chemeketa Community College in Oregon. A variety of modem and internet-based courses are offered, with an Associate of Arts available worldwide via distance education.

Christopher Newport University,  a Virginia public college, offers a Bachelor of Science in Governmental Administration through CNU Online.

City University,  a private college headquartered in Washington State, offers a variety of online courses oand degree programs. Course syllabi are available at their site.

Colorado State University   offers an Internet and video-based Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with no campus visits required.

East Carolina University  in Greenville, North Carolina, in the United States offers a Master of Science in Industrial Technology completely online.

Electronic University Network  a network of various virtual universities and colleges.

Fayetteville Technical Community College  in Fayetteville, North Carolina, has been offering online courses since the Spring term of 1996.

Front Range Community College,  in Colorado, offers selected lower level courses online each semester. Courses include the liberal arts, computer-related learning, and a new library and information systems technology program.

George Washington University,  in Washington, D.C., offers a combined internet-assisted and video-based campus-free Master's in Education and Human Development with a Concentration in Educational Technology and Leadership through the Mind Extension University.

Georgia Institute of Technology, Video-Based Instruction  This program mails videotapes of on-campus graduate lectures to learners. Several Masters in Engineering may be earned through distance learning. No campus visits are required.

Goddard College  offers learners worldwide the opportunity to design their own Bachelor or Masters in selected subject areas, including the Creative Arts, Environmental Studies, History & Social Inquiry, Writing & Literature, Psychology, and Business & Leadership. Nine days are required on-campus to begin a degree.

Henley Management College  of the United Kingdom offers an internet-assisted Master's in Business Administration. No campus visits are required.

JEC College Connection  is a US based non-profit cable TV company, offering cable broadcast and videotaped courses as well as complete Associate, Bachelor, and Masters degree programs with no campus visits from several US colleges. Some programs support electronic mail or Internet interaction and international enrollments.

New Hampshire College  in New Hampshire, offers Internet-assisted no-residency undergraduate Certificates in Accounting, Computers, and Human Resource Management.

New Jersey Institute of Technology. Get "technically connected" and earn your Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Systems in our virtual classrooms.

New York Institute of Technology's   Online Campus offers no-residency Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary, Business, or the Behavioral Sciences.

New York Universitie's Virtual College The Virtual College uses a national digital network to provide students and faculty with an electronic environment for taking courses using networked PCs.

North Carolina State University,   offers no-residency video-based Master's in Engineering.

Ohio University's Adult Learning Services  office offers no-residency Certificates, Associates, and Bachelor’s via distance learning means, using e-mail, FAX, and surface mail. Degree programs support a portfolio, or credit for documentable career experience, option.

Pennsylvania State University  has offered independent study courses for over 100 years. Associate degrees, Certificates, and a variety of undergraduate courses are offered through distance learning, with selected courses supporting e-mail lesson options.

Seattle Central Community College,  a public college in Washington State, offers an internet-assisted Associate of Arts (AA), available to anyone, anywhere in the world. Take individual courses for transfer elsewhere or earn your whole degree. No campus visits are required.

Syracuse University  Independent study degree programs (ISDP) are flexible, limited-residency programs for students who wish to pursue undergraduate or graduate study at Syracuse University but are unable, for whatever reason, to take courses in the traditional classroom format. ISDP is offered through nine of the university's academic divisions, in partnership with Syracuse's Division of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions, and is one of the three oldest external degree programs in the United States.

Thomas Edison State College  of New Jersey offers campus-free Certificates, Associates, and Bachelor degrees.

United Kingdom's Open University. Only a few Internet courses are open to U.S. residents.

University of Alaska Distance Learning Center  using a combination of independent study courses, telecourses, and remote site videoconferencing.

University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF)- Center for Distance Education   offers a variety of surface mail courses open to registrants nationwide, and a few internet-assisted study courses on using the internet in educational environments.

University of Arizona   has a Master of Library Science program

University of Colorado   Various colleges grouped together.

University of Florida  offers courses and professional programs, such as a Paralegal Training certificate through independent study. Many courses support electronic mail lesson submissions.

University of Idaho - Video Outreach, in Moscow, Idaho, offers video-based Master's in Engineering or Computer Science through distance means. Degree-seekers visit the campus briefly to take their final exams or present their theses. International learners are admitted.

University of Iowa - Guided Correspondence Study  department offers distance learning courses in several areas using surface mail and e-mail options. A Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies may be earned via correspondence with no campus visits..

University of Kansas Medical Center  Virtual Classroom

University of Maine at Machias  Offers four ways to look for courses offered: by specific words, by category, by available degrees, or you may look at the entire list.

University of Maryland  offers numerous online degree programs and courses.

University of Massachusetts Dartmouth  Allows you to interact with other experts, draw on extensive Internet information resources, and work with other students in a global, cyberspace environment.

University of Minnesota - Independent and Distance Learning  offers over 360 correspondence study courses through surface mail. Over 90 courses offer the option of using e-mail for lesson exchange.

University of Missouri - Columbia College of Engineering  offers a Master’s in Environmental Engineering that may be completed entirely online. The program began offering courses in Fall 1996. Engineers from around the world are invited to participate in this 36 semester credit degree offered by the oldest university West of the Mississippi River.

University of Nebraska Lincoln  allows you to earn a no-residency, Internet-delivered Master’s in Interdepartmental Human Resources & Family Sciences.

University of Nevada Reno, Independent Study Through Correspondence,  offers distance learning courses by e-mail, FAX, and surface mail.

The University of New England,  a private college in Bedford, Maine, offers a distance learning Master of Science in Education (K-12) for teaching professionals. The program may be completed with only brief visits to campus.

University of Phoenix,  a private college, headquartered in San Francisco, CA and Phoenix, AZ, provides the oldest accelerated online study program for business professionals. The Online program offers a Bachelor in Business or Information Systems and a Masters in Business or Technology and Management. No campus visits are required.

University of Southern California  has partnered with IMLearn to offer the video and modem-assisted undergraduate course, "Language of Cinema: An Introduction to Your Critical & Creative Voice." The USC School of Cinema and Television plans to offer several film and motion picture courses through IMLearn in the months to come. Visit IMLearn often to learn of new course offerings from other colleges.

University of Tennessee,  College of Business Administration, has launched a low-residency Executive Physician’s MBA program (PEMBA) that is delivered nationwide using Internet desktop technologies.

University of Texas System  provides various courses from various colleges and universities through multiple electronic media.

University of Washington  Department of Distance Learning and Independent Study. Certificates in C Programming, Literary Fiction, Project Management, Teaching, Learning, and Technology, or Public Health from the .

University of Wisconsin - Systemwide& nbsp; have offered distance Bachelor degrees in many subjects since 1976. A few days or no time may be required on campus. The Bachelor degree programs are open to Wisconsin residents or to Minnesota residents, with reciprocity, in some cases.

Vermont College of Norwich University,  provides options for adult learners to design their own Bachelor or Master degrees with only 1 week on-campus every 6 months. Areas of study include: Counseling & Psychology, Writing & Literature, Business & Management, Historical & Cultural Studies, Art, Gender Studies, Holistic Studies, Environmental Studies, and Teacher Education.

The Virtual College of the New York University  offers Internet-based graduate level Advanced Certificates in Information Technology to learners worldwide.

Walden University  offers quality Doctorates in Administration, Education, Health Services or Human Services to working professionals with short summer visits to campuses in Florida or Indiana. A new Master in Education & Technology is also available.
